Italy has begun easing some of its lockdown restrictions today after more than two months of enforced quarantine.

Italy was the first country to impose a nationwide stay at home order, and was once at the epicentre of the pandemic.

Prime Minister GIUSEPPE CONTE says his approach to ending lockdown will be adjusted depending on contagion trends.

He also stressed that the latest easing must not be seen as a signal that we’re all free.
