The Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Professor MAHMOOD YAKUBU, has called on the National Assembly to support the commission in creating additional polling units in the country.

YAKUBU made this known when he made a presentation on the state of voter access to polling units in Nigeria to the lawmakers at the National Assembly.

He lamented that no additional polling units have been created in the last 25 years a situation that has made existing polling units to be overcrowded during voting.
