The Ijebu-Ode local government in Ogun state has embarked on a sensitization and training exercise on the production of locally made hand sanitizer among market leaders and meat sellers in the Council Area.

The programme which took place at the local government secretariat in Itoro, Ijebu-Ode, was part of measures by the council to protect the traders. 

In a statement issued by the Chairman of Ijebu-Ode local government, Engr. OLUGBENGA OLUGBILE, the need to protect people from the deadly virus is very necessary. 

He therefore, urged market leaders to put in place hand washing buckets, soaps and water at all entry points of the markets for individuals to wash their hands.
