Some unknown gunmen have hijacked the school bus of a private school at Oba Ile Estate in the Akure North Local Government Area of Ondo State, abducting a member of staff of the school.

The incident occurred around 6:45am this morning while the driver and the abducted staff of the school were moving round to pick the pupils.

The abducted staff OMOLAYO OJO, has however been released and has regained freedom.

The spokesperson of the Ondo state Police command, TEE-LEO IKORO while addressing newsmen said the incident was a case of theft and not abduction.
