Ondo State Governor, ROTIMI AKEREDOLU has ordered herdsmen to vacate all forest reserves in the state within the next seven days.
Governor AKEREDOLU, who made the proclamation via his verified Twitter account, said the order had become very important due to the increasing incidents of kidnap cases in the state.
He noted that his administration will give a grace period of seven days for those who wish to carry on with their cattle-rearing business to register with appropriate authorities.
The Governor added that his resolution to guarantee safety of lives and property within the State shall remain utmost as security agencies have been directed to enforce the ban.
