Governor ROTIMI AKEREDOLU has emerged winner of the Ondo State All Progressives Congress (APC) Governorship primary which took place yesterday.

Governor AKEREDOLU polled 2,458 votes to defeat the other seven aspirants in the election.

Four aspirants, IFEOLUWA OYEDELE, OLUSEGUN ABRAHAM, JIMI ODIMAYO and NATHANIEL ADOJUTELEGAN had earlier stepped down for Governor AKEREDOLU in the election.

The chairman of the election committee, Governor YAHAYA BELLO of Kogi state announced the result after voting, sorting and counting of the votes.
