The Federal Government has rolled out an auto gas programme called the National Gas Expansion Programme, in Abuja, the nation’s capital.
President MUHAMMADU BUHARI attended virtually from the presidential villa, while the Managing Director of Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation, MELE KYARI; and the Minister of State for Petroleum, TIMIPRE SYLVA, attended in person.
The programme involves the conversion of fuel-powered cars, and generators from petrol to gas, and is aimed at deepening domestic usage of natural gas in its various forms.
At the event, the Minister of State for Petroleum handed over Compressed Natural Gas-powered mass transport buses to the Nigeria Labour.
