A Federal Government agency, the Public Complaints Commission (PCC), has said it has approved work from home for its workers Following the hike in the price of petrol on account of the removal of fuel subsidy.
This was contained in a memo signed by the secretary to the commission, Hajiya Mamman, which was dated July 18, 2023 and titled ‘Adjustment of work schedule.
The memo, which was addressed to all state commissioners said due to the recent fuel increase which represents fifteen per cent (15%) increase has its consequences on the working citizens in Nigeria.
It requested the agency to develop a work plan and attendance structure that will enable staff to work painstakingly.
It said this will help to ameliorate the hardship being faced by staff due to the fuel subsidy removal and the arrangement should last till the situation improves.
