The Federal Government has restated its commitment to completing the rehabilitation of the Port Harcourt Refinery.
The Minister of State for Petroleum, TIMIPRE SYLVA who said in an interview on a monitored programme said Port Harcourt Refinery will work within the next 18 months.
The Minister equally added that the Nigerian government also plans to rehabilitate other refineries in the country, stressing that the move is not a waste of funds as believed in some quarters.
SYLVA also debunked insinuations that the rehabilitation of Port Harcourt Refinery could have taken less than 500 million naira.
