The Federal Government has assured Nigerians that it will do everything possible to stem the growing tide of the rape cases and sexual based violence in the country.
The Minister of Information and Culture, LAI MOHAMMED disclosed this when officials of National Human Rights Commission paid him an advocacy visit in his office in Abuja.
MOHAMMED added that it was totally unacceptable that a total of 717 rape cases have been recorded between January and May 2020,
The Minister also said his ministry is partnering with the Federal Ministry of Women Affairs to launch a national campaign against rape and gender-based violence.
