The Federal Government has arraigned 10 alleged pirates for hijacking a fishing vessel, belonging to a private fishing Company.

The defendants who are residents in Nigeria, were arraigned on three counts before Justice AYOKUNLE FAJI at the Federal High Court in Lagos.

The office of the Attorney General of the Federation, which is the prosecution counsel, told the court that the defendants armed with weapons, committed an illegal act of violence against the crew of the fishing vessel.
