Organised labour has suspended its planned nationwide indefinite strike action for one month.
This was contained in a memorandum of understanding signed by the Nigeria Labour Congress President, JOE AJAERO, and General Secretary, EMMANUEL UGBOAJA; as well as the Trade Union Congress President, FESTUS OSIFO, and Secretary General, NUHU TORO.
The three-page document was also signed by the Minister of Labour and Employment, SIMON LALONG; Minister of State for Labour and Employment, NKEIRUKA ONYEJEOCHA; and Minister of Information and National Orientation, MOHAMMED IDRIS.
