Enoch Nwali wins Lekki scrabble classic championship

Current African Scrabble Champion, ENOCH NWALI, has won the second edition of the Lekki Scrabble classic championship, which took place at Ikoyi Club 1938 at the weekend.

Over 100 top players competed for the top prize in the two-day championship that was used to commemorate Nigeria’s 63rd Independence anniversary.

Former World Scrabble champion, WELLINGTON JIGHERE, emerged as second best player, while ADIGUN OLATUNDE came third.

Chairman of Lekki Scrabble Club, SAMUEL ANIKOH, said that the club would not relent in organising more Scrabble events to improve the standard of the sports in Nigeria.
