The Senior Special Assistant to Governor of Ekiti State on Public Affairs, NIYI OJO, said that Ekiti State Government was set to test 100,000 residents for COVID-19 before June ending to ensure early detection of the virus in the state.
OJO attributed the low number of COVID-19 cases in the state to the early preparations put in place by the state government.
He charged the security agencies to step up efforts at the borders to ensure the disease was not sneaked into the state through inter-state travelers.
OJO added that a testing centre will be opened soon in Ekiti State.
