The organized labour in Ekiti State has called off the three-day warning strike embarked upon in the state public service over welfare and other issues.

This was part of the resolutions at the end of a meeting between the state government and the labour groups signed by the Head of Service, PEJU BABAFEMI and the state chairmen and secretaries of the Nigerian Labour Congress NLC, Trade Union Congress TUC, and the Joint Negotiating Council JNC. 

The labour groups, comprising the NLC, TUC and JNC, had earlier ordered the commencement of the strike following the expiration of the 14-day ultimatum it issued to the state government.
