The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has begun the probe of Ogun State House of Assembly over alleged financial misappropriation.

The Speaker, OLAKUNLE OLUOMO confirmed this while featuring on a monitored radio programme in Abeokuta.

OLAKUNLE OLUOMO disclosed that anti-graft agency had written to the Assembly, asking for information on all budget appropriations and allocations of the House from May 30, 2015 to date.

The Speaker said the EFCC letter was received during the recent parliamentary workers strike but he however, hinted that the move might be as a result of a petition from a member of the House of Assembly.
