Deputy Speaker of the Edo State House of Assembly, YEKINI IDIAYE was impeached.

The impeachment occurred during plenary which was held at the Assembly complex in Benin City.

A member representing Orhionmwon II Constituency in the State House of Assembly, ROLAND ASORO has been elected as the new Deputy Speaker.
