A little drama ensued at the ongoing probe by the National Assembly into the Niger Delta Development Commission NDDC, after the Acting Managing Director of the NDDC Professor DANIEL PONDEI slumped while being asked questions.

Professor PONDEI collapsed as members of the House Committee on NDDC interrogated him for about 45 minutes, and was there after rushed to an unknown hospital for emergency treatment.

Earlier, the Chairman of the House of Representatives Committee on NDDC, OLUBUNMI TUNJI-OJO, excused himself from the ongoing probe after the Interim Management Committee of the NDDC accused him of crimes against the commission.

A member of the committee, THOMAS EREYITOMI stepped in to lead the committee and spoke with newsmen after the proceedings.
