Chelsea has been named winners of the English Women's Super League title on an average points-per-game ratio, with Liverpool relegating to the Championship.
The Football Association board reached a majority decision to decide final positions on a basic points-per-game basis, with promotion and relegation determined on sporting merit.
The season was suspended in March because of the coronavirus pandemic in March, with Chelsea one point behind leaders Manchester City with a game in hand.
However, it was decided on May 25 that the season would end with immediate effect which prompted the FA’s decision.
Chelsea and Manchester City will be England's representatives in next season's Women's Champions League with Aston Villa who were top of the Championship, replacing Liverpool next season.
