President MUHAMMADU BUHARI has formally sworn in Professor IBRAHIM AGBOOLA GAMBARI as his new chief of staff.

Professor GAMBARI was sworn in today and he succeeds ABBA KYARI who passed away recently.

Secretary to the Government of the Federation, BOSS MUSTAPHA, announced the swearing-in shortly before the commencement of the virtual Federal Executive Council meeting at the presidential villa.

The 76-year-old former United Nations Under-Secretary General and former Member of General Affairs, served as the Minister of External Affairs between 1984 and 1985, amongst other appointments.
