The Australian Olympic Committee has refuted suggestions it colluded with Canadian counterparts to withdraw from the Tokyo Games to pressure organizers into a postponement.

The AOC says any assertions that it told athletes to plan for a Tokyo Olympic Games in 2021 is completely incorrect.

The sporting body added that’s its decision followed a sequence of events including restrictions on international travel by the Australian government.
