South-West hunters have vowed to pull out of Amotekun in Oyo State if the state government insisted on online registration for interested applicants.

The local hunters, who spoke through their Chairman, OBA NURENI AJIJOLA ANABI, said the condition for recruitment should not be on academic qualification.

ANABI said the hunters ought to be at the forefront of the security outfit because they know the all nooks and crannies in the forest more than any other group.

The hunters, however, pleaded with Governor SEYI MAKINDE to provide patrol vehicles and other logistics to make it easier for them to function more effectively.
