The ongoing linkage exercise between the National Identification Number and the Subscriber Identity Module cards have been extended till June 30, 2021.

This was contained in a statement jointly signed by the Director of Public Affairs, Nigerian Communications Commission, IKECHUKWU ADINDE and the Head of Corporate Communications, National Identity Management Commission, KAYODE ADEGOKE.

The postponement of the deadline was based on the request by stakeholders for an extension in order to make it easier for all citizens and legal residents to register.
