The Ogun State Police Command has announced that the physical and credential screening exercise for the recruitment of General Duty and Specialist Police Constables into the Nigeria Police Force will commence on March 9 and run until April 18, 2026.
The Command disclosed that the exercise will begin daily at 7:00 a.m. at the POWA Hall located within the Command Headquarters in Eleweran.
According to the Command, the exercise is specifically for indigenes of Ogun State who successfully completed the online recruitment registration. It also emphasized that the recruitment and screening exercise is completely free of charge.
The screening process follows the deployment of officers from the Nigeria Police Force alongside officials of the Police Service Commission to conduct the exercise across states of the federation.
Applicants from Ogun State who completed the online application are advised to log into the official recruitment portal to confirm their screening status, check their scheduled dates, and print the required documents ahead of the exercise.
In a statement issued by the Command’s Public Relations Officer, Oluseyi Babaseyi, applicants were instructed to appear at the screening venue on the date and time indicated on their invitation slips.
They are required to present the following documents during the screening exercise:
Invitation Slip
Application Submission Slip
Credentials Screening Form
Physical Screening Form
Duly completed Guarantor’s Form
Original National Identity Number printout or National Identity Card issued by the National Identity Management Commission
O’Level certificate (GCE/SSCE)
Birth Certificate or Declaration of Age
Certificate of Origin signed by the Local Government Chairman or Secretary
Trade Test/Certificate (for Specialist applicants only)
Applicants are also required to bring the original copies and duplicates of their credentials neatly arranged in two separate white flat files, each attached with recent passport photographs.
Candidates must appear for the screening dressed in white canvas shoes, white T-shirts, white shorts, and white stockings.
The Command stressed that the screening exercise will be conducted strictly on merit and in line with the highest standards of professionalism and transparency.
It therefore advised applicants to comply strictly with all guidelines and ensure that all required documents are presented at the screening venue.
The Ogun State Police Command also urged members of the public to note that the recruitment process is entirely free and warned applicants to report anyone demanding money or gratification in connection with the exercise.
