The Executive Chairman of Epe Local Government Area, Princess Surah Animashaun, has sworn in newly appointed Supervisory Councillors, Special Advisers, and Senior Special Assistants as part of efforts to strengthen governance and accelerate development at the grassroots.

The swearing-in ceremony, held at the council headquarters in Ita-Marin, Epe, marked what the chairman described as a significant milestone in her administration’s commitment to delivering impactful leadership and improved service to residents of the council area.

Addressing the newly appointed officials, Animashaun congratulated them on their appointments and charged them to see their roles as a call to serve the people with integrity, dedication, and measurable impact.

She reaffirmed that her administration remains focused on sustaining development across the council, stressing that Epe’s progress is anchored on a clear vision for the future.

“Our administration remains committed to the philosophy that Epe is built on progress and driven by vision,” she said, adding that continued investment in infrastructure, youth and women empowerment, and community development would remain key priorities of her government.

Former Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly and member of the Governance Advisory Council, Sabit Adeyemi Ikuforiji, in his goodwill message, commended the council chairman for what he described as purposeful leadership.

Ikuforiji urged the newly sworn-in officials to work closely with the chairman in advancing the council’s development agenda and to demonstrate diligence and commitment in the discharge of their duties.

Similarly, the lawmaker representing Epe Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Wale Raji, congratulated the appointees and encouraged them to justify the confidence placed in them through dedicated service to the people.

He also urged them to align their efforts with the Renewed Hope Agenda of Bola Ahmed Tinubu in delivering meaningful development to the people of Epe.

Also speaking, a member of the Lagos State House of Assembly representing Epe Constituency I, Abiodun Tobun, applauded the chairman for her continued commitment to the growth and transformation of the local government.

He urged the newly sworn-in officials to work collectively with the Animashaun-led administration to sustain ongoing development and ensure that more dividends of democracy reach the people.

The ceremony drew several prominent personalities, including former member of the House of Representatives, Bola Gbabijo; former commissioner in the Lagos State Local Government Service Commission, Ahmed Seriki; former chairman of Epe Local Government Area, Hassan Adedoyin; and Director of Lekki Free Zone Parcel B, Tunde Ogunkoya.

Other dignitaries present included the Vice Chairman of Epe Local Government Area, Sikiru Owolomoshe, members of the legislative arm of the council, political leaders, and management and staff of the local government.

The event underscored the administration’s resolve to deepen participatory governance and enhance service delivery for the people of Epe.
