Omoluabi Movement Hails Re-election of Abiodun, Sanusi and Ogun APC Executive

The Omoluabi Political Movement has congratulated Governor Dapo Abiodun, state APC chairman Chief Yemi Sanusi, and 35 other members of the executive committee following their re-election for another four-year term.

The congress, held at the Cultural Centre Abeokuta, was supervised by the congress committee chaired by Chief Wale Ohu and officials of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC). Party stakeholders and delegates participated in the consensus election.

In a statement issued to journalists by the movement’s media director Oluseun Joshua, the group’s convener Armstrong ’Tope Akintunde described the re-election as recognition of the executive’s dedication and contributions to party development.

“What we witnessed in Ogun APC today is a reflection of the achievements of our party’s state executive members led by our leaders, Governor Dapo Abiodun and Chief Yemi Sanusi. It is clear evidence of their longstanding dedication and commitment to the All Progressives Congress in Ogun State,” Akintunde stated.

He noted that the Sanusi-led executive had strengthened internal cohesion within the party under Abiodun’s leadership, arguing that results and organisational discipline earned the leadership continued confidence.

“The Ogun State APC today stands united under one umbrella through the leadership of Chief Yemi Sanusi and our Governor. Their leadership has demonstrated results beyond rhetoric,” he added.

Akintunde further observed that political performance often influences continued opportunities in public service, emphasising that sustained support reflects confidence in leaders who deliver on their responsibilities.

He called for increased mobilisation ahead of future political engagements and assured that the Omoluabi Movement would continue to support the party’s programmes in the state.

Reacting to the congress outcome, state coordinator Hon. Olusegun Kaka said the re-election was widely anticipated given the leadership’s efforts to strengthen the APC and attract new members from opposition ranks.

“We have witnessed significant political realignments with members of opposition parties joining the APC in Ogun State. This reflects growing confidence in the leadership of Governor Abiodun and Chief Yemi Sanusi,” he noted.

Political observers view the consensus congress as a strategic move to consolidate party unity and organisational stability as Ogun APC prepares for future electoral contests.
