Community harmony has been reaffirmed in Obada Oko following the successful resolution of an internal disagreement within the Alaafia Isewo Community Development Association (CDA). The dispute, which centred on a factional push to split the association, had raised concerns about unity and development within the community operating under the Ibukun Oluwa Community Development Council.

To address the crisis, local government leadership convened a mediation meeting attended by security representatives and stakeholders from both sides. Through dialogue and the application of Alternative Dispute Resolution principles, parties agreed to maintain the association’s existing structure, signalling a collective commitment to unity.

Chairman Sikiru Adesina was widely commended for his impartial intervention, with community leaders describing the outcome as a testament to responsive governance and collaborative problem-solving. Representatives of the association expressed appreciation and pledged renewed dedication to peaceful coexistence and development initiatives.

The resolution underscores a broader lesson: community progress is best achieved through dialogue and cooperation. With stability restored, attention now turns to leveraging the CDA’s platform for projects that advance local welfare and strengthen social cohesion.
