Ogun Chief Judge Announces Imminent Take-Off of E-Filing, E-Affidavit Systems

The Chief Judge of Ogun State, Mosunmola Dipeolu, has reaffirmed plans for the full operational commencement of E-Filing and E-Affidavit processes, describing the initiative as a major step toward modernising justice delivery in the state.

Justice Dipeolu made the disclosure at the Ogun State Judiciary 2026 Judges’ Health Retreat held from February 9 to 13 at Idi-Oke, Igbesa, in Ado-Odo/Ota Local Government Area.

She announced that funds for the take-off of the E-Filing System and E-Affidavit Platform had been released, with procurement of necessary equipment and technological tools already underway. According to her, final arrangements are being concluded to ensure seamless implementation.

The Chief Judge said the digital reforms would significantly enhance efficiency, reduce administrative bottlenecks, and expand access to justice across the state. She added that the initiative is designed to build a faster, more transparent, and accessible judicial system.

Speaking on the retreat’s theme, “Judicial Wellness and Longevity: Safeguarding the Health of the Bench for Effective Justice Delivery,” Justice Dipeolu emphasised that a healthy judiciary remains the bedrock of effective justice administration.

She urged judges to prioritise their health, noting that sustaining excellence in judicial service requires deliberate attention to physical and mental well-being.

Medical experts who presented papers at the retreat echoed the call for institutionalised wellness support. Among them were physiotherapist Anike Babalola of the Federal Medical Center, Abeokuta; Dr. Jumoke Ilo of Osun State University; Dr. Abayomi Emmanuel of Neuro-Psychiatric Hospital, Aro; Orthopedic Surgeon Dr. Fidelis Ojeblenu; Senior Consultant Dr. Bolatito Fatunsi; and Consultant Cardiologist Dr. Taiwo Olunuga, also of the Federal Medical Center, Abeokuta.

The presenters stressed that safeguarding judicial well-being should not be viewed as a personal luxury but as an institutional necessity, warning that sustainable justice requires sustainable judges.

With digital reforms advancing alongside wellness advocacy, the Ogun State Judiciary appears poised to combine technological innovation with human capacity preservation in its quest for improved justice delivery.
