The Special Adviser to the Governor on Housing and Managing Director of the Ogun State Property and Investment Corporation (OPIC), Arc. Abiodun Fari-Arole, has disclosed that the President Muhammadu Buhari (MB) Estate in Abeokuta is nearing completion and will soon be commissioned.
Arc. Fari-Arole made this known during an inspection tour of the project site, stating that the first phase—comprising 100 housing units—would soon be fully completed.
According to him, the phase features three housing typologies, including two types of semi-detached units and a four-bedroom fully detached house with an attached boys’ quarters.
He explained that the estate was conceived by the present administration to deliver premium housing solutions that meet modern standards while improving the ease of doing business in the state.
“The vision behind this project is to provide top-value housing for our people and create an enabling environment that attracts investors,” he said.
Arc. Fari-Arole described the estate as the first of its kind in Ogun State, noting that it is expected to stimulate economic activities and significantly enhance property values within and around the area.
Also speaking during the inspection, the Special Adviser to the Governor on Housing, OPIC and Special Projects, Prince Faroouq Adenugba, stated that the estate was built with state-of-the-art facilities, describing it as a strategic vehicle for advancing the vision of an industrialised Ogun State.
In his remarks, the Director of Marketing and Business Development at OPIC, Mr. Dehinde Boye, disclosed that the housing units are open for purchase by residents, Nigerians in the diaspora, and investors. He encouraged interested buyers to visit the Corporation’s marketing department for further enquiries.
The MB Estate is expected to add to Ogun State’s growing portfolio of structured housing developments aimed at addressing housing demand and driving sustainable urban growth.
