Ogun East APC Caucus 7202 Endorses Tinubu, Abiodun, Adeola for 2027, Commissions Senatorial Secretariat

A political support group within the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ogun State, Caucus 7202 (The Coalition), has formally endorsed President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Governor Dapo Abiodun and Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola (YAYI) for the 2027 general elections.

The endorsement was announced on Tuesday during the commissioning of the group’s senatorial secretariat along Moborode Street, Ijebu-Ode, an event that later transitioned to a larger stakeholders’ gathering at Adeola Odutola Event Hall.

At the event, the Director General of Caucus 7202, Hon. Olaseni Koiki, said the decision followed what the group described as the impressive performance of President Tinubu in office. He noted that the President’s policies and projects in agriculture, infrastructure, education, security and economic reforms have directly impacted Nigerians, justifying a second term.

According to Koiki, the endorsement also reflects the group’s strategic positioning ahead of the 2027 party primaries, with a focus on presenting what it considers credible and experienced candidates to voters.

“President Tinubu has done a lot and deserves another term to consolidate on ongoing reforms and national development,” he stated.

Koiki further declared support for Governor Dapo Abiodun to represent Ogun East Senatorial District in the National Assembly, describing the governor’s administrative experience as an asset that would benefit the district at the federal level.

On Senator Adeola, he described the lawmaker as a tested and results-driven leader whose performance in Ogun West and contributions across the state have earned him widespread support to contest the governorship in 2027.

“Senator Solomon Adeola has demonstrated leadership capacity and commitment. His track record speaks for itself,” Koiki added.

Other APC leaders at the event, including Hon. Dr. Samuel Adejare and Otunba Adewale Oshinubi, aligned with the endorsements, urging party members to remain united and committed to the party’s direction ahead of the elections.

Dr. Adejare expressed confidence that President Tinubu would secure re-election, Governor Abiodun would succeed in his senatorial bid, and Senator Adeola would emerge victorious in the governorship race if party members remain steadfast.

The event drew prominent APC figures from across Ogun East Senatorial District, including the Special Adviser to the Governor on Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Hon. Razaq Daddah; former Commissioner for Water Resources, Hon. Kunle Otun; former House of Representatives member, Hon. Deko Onamusi; former Chairman of Ijebu Ode Local Government, Hon. Emilola Gazal; and former Lagos State Commissioner, Hon. Uzamat Akinbile Yusuf, among others.

Caucus 7202, described as a progressive political coalition, claims a membership base of over 300,000 with about 1,500 subgroups spread across the 20 local government areas of Ogun State.

The endorsement signals early political realignments within the APC in Ogun State as stakeholders begin to position ahead of the 2027 electoral cycle.
