The Omoluabi Movement, a prominent grassroots mobilization group in Ogun State, has joined Governor Prince Dapo Abiodun, CON, and all indigenes in commemorating the state’s 50th anniversary.
Armstrong ‘Tope Akintunde, Convener of the movement, described the milestone as a defining chapter in Ogun State’s journey, marked by resilience, unity, and consistent progress. In a felicitation titled “Celebrating Five Decades of Unity, Progress, and Shared Purpose,” Akintunde praised the state’s achievements across education, infrastructure, and industrial development, attributing them to purposeful leadership and the enterprising spirit of the people.
“This golden jubilee reflects a shared vision for a prosperous, inclusive, and forward-looking society. May it strengthen unity, deepen development efforts, and open new chapters of opportunity and success for Ogun State,” he said.
Hon. Olusegun Kaka, Ogun State Coordinator of the Omoluabi Movement, echoed the sentiments, emphasizing that the celebration is a collective achievement of all residents and stakeholders who have contributed to the state’s development. He highlighted Ogun’s rapid growth and unity, commending Governor Abiodun’s leadership in driving developmental strides.
Politically, the Omoluabi Movement, formerly known as DACA, continues to play a pivotal role in promoting participatory democracy, progressive ideals, and accountable leadership in Ogun State. Beyond politics, the group remains focused on cultivating the next generation of democratic leaders committed to sustainable development and prosperity for the state and Nigeria.
The movement’s participation underscores the broad-based support and pride felt across Ogun State as it marks half a century of political existence, social progress, and economic relevance.
