Reps Member Ogunbanwo Inspects Odogbolu Road Projects, Hails Progress on Constituency Works


The Member of the House of Representatives representing Ijebu Central Federal Constituency, Hon. Olufemi Ogunbanwo (Omo-Iwa), has undertaken an inspection tour of ongoing road construction and rehabilitation projects in Odogbolu Local Government Area of Ogun State, reaffirming his commitment to grassroots infrastructure development.

Ogunbanwo, who was accompanied by the Chairman of Odogbolu Local Government, Hon. Babatunde Diya, inspected the Ilado–Ikise and Ala-Idowa road projects to assess the quality and pace of work being carried out. The visit was aimed at ensuring that the projects meet expected standards and deliver tangible benefits to the host communities.

Speaking with journalists during the inspection, the lawmaker said the road projects formed part of deliberate efforts to complement existing government initiatives focused on improving the living standards of residents across the constituency. He expressed satisfaction with the level of work done so far, noting that reports from the sites were encouraging.

“Once these roads are completed, they will boost socio-economic development and open up greater economic opportunities for the communities,” Ogunbanwo said.

The Ilado–Ikise road, which links Ilado, Ikise, Igbile and Omu communities, is a federal constituency project facilitated by the lawmaker. The strategic road cuts across Wards 10, 11, 12 and 14 of Odogbolu Local Government, and is expected to enhance connectivity and ease of movement within the area.

The inspection team also visited the Sabo-Itanrin Road project being executed by the Ogun State Government under the administration of Governor Dapo Abiodun. During the visit, Ogunbanwo commended the governor for his sustained investment in road infrastructure across the state, describing it as critical to economic growth and community development.

Members of the entourage on the inspection tour included the Odogbolu Local Government APC Youth Leader, Comrade Hammed Musa; Hon. Ekitunde Olukoya (JP) of Ward 11; Hon. Taofeek Olatunji of Ward 5; Hon. Akeem Abimbola Razaq of Ward 7; Mr. Femi Amusa; Alhaji Abdulrahman Olusada, Supervisory Councillors for Works and Special Duties; Mr. Nurudeen Adekoya, Senior Special Assistant on Special Duties; and other party faithful.

The inspection underscored ongoing collaboration between federal and state actors to accelerate infrastructure delivery and deepen development at the grassroots level in Ogun State.
