Suspected Bandits Attack Oyo National Park Service Office, Casualties Reported


 

 Suspected bandits launched a nighttime attack on the National Park Service (NPS) office in Oloka, Orire Local Government Area, Oyo State, on Tuesday, leaving several personnel killed and injured, sources have revealed.

According to eyewitnesses, the assault occurred around 9:00 PM, catching the NPS staff off guard. Details of the attack remain sketchy, but insiders confirmed that the attackers were heavily armed and carried out the operation with speed and precision.

As of the time of reporting, CP Femi Haruna, Commissioner of Police for Oyo State, was reportedly en route to the National Park to assess the situation and coordinate security measures.

Police authorities have yet to release an official statement regarding the incident. Investigations are ongoing to determine the exact number of casualties and the circumstances surrounding the attack.
