The vigilante abducted during a violent clash between herdsmen in Amakohia-Ubi community, Owerri-West Local Government Area, Imo State, identified as Uche Ejiofor, has been discovered dead in a bush with his body severely mutilated.

A community source revealed that Ejiofor was found by his colleagues yesterday evening while searching for him. 

“Yes, he has been found, but in a gruesome state. His body was badly stabbed. We believe they may have attempted to shoot him but failed, so they resorted to butcher him,” the source stated.

Ejiofor’s mutilated body has been taken to the morgue, according to a local resident. 

Meanwhile, residents who fled in fear are hesitant to return home. One community member told our correspondent, “I don't think I’ll return soon. I might go back in the morning, but sleeping there — that I can't guarantee.”
