Festus Keyamo Condemns Leak of Indecent Footage of Comfort Emmanson

Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo, has strongly condemned the recent leak of indecent footage involving Comfort Emmanson, a passenger on an Ibom Air flight. He emphasized that the release of such sensitive material by airline staff is unacceptable and vowed that those responsible will face disciplinary action.

In a statement, Keyamo directed a joint security meeting next week with relevant agencies to enhance coordination and security protocols in similar incidents. He also addressed the ongoing legal proceedings, noting that the unruly passenger has been banned from flights and arraigned at Ikeja Magistrates Court, where she was remanded in Kirikiri Prison for failure to provide sufficient sureties.

Expressing concern over the incident, Keyamo condemned the public sharing of the footage, which exposed Emmanson's private parts, saying, “While we support documenting and prosecuting unruly behavior, releasing such indecent content to ridicule her is totally unacceptable. We will not tolerate the debasement of womanhood.” He ordered the immediate identification and sanctioning of any staff involved in leaking the footage.

The minister also urged airlines to intensify training for their staff on handling difficult situations professionally and effectively. He reiterated that passengers with grievances should utilize established channels provided by the Consumer Protection Directorate of the NCAA, warning against taking the law into one's own hands, which could lead to severe consequences.

Keyamo concluded by reaffirming the government’s commitment to ensuring safety, security, and respect for all passengers on Nigerian airlines.
