Edo State Commissioner for Health, Dr. Cyril Adams Oshiomhole, has assured officials of Edo State University, Uzairue and its Teaching Hospital, of the State Government’s commitment to improving healthcare services in the State.
Dr. Oshiomhole gave the assurance during a courtesy visit by the officials to his office at the Ministry of Health in Benin City.
He told his guests that the State Governor, Monday Okpebholo is passionate about healthcare and the quality of medical services accessible to the people in the State.
The Commissioner revealed that plans are already underway to extend the retirement age for doctors, from 60 to 70 years, a policy aimed at retaining experienced medical personnel in the State.
