Nigerian Government Allocates N112bn For Safe Schools Initiative — Minister of Women AffairsPublished


The Minister for Women Affairs, Imaan Suleiman-Ibrahim, has announced that the Federal Government has allocated 112 billion naira through the National Plan for Financing Safe Schools as part of efforts to safeguard learning environments over the next three years.

 

The minister also stated that the government has made significant progress in advancing children’s rights through the adoption and implementation of several initiatives.

 

This was revealed in a statement released to mark Universal Children’s Day, themed “Advancing Children’s Rights for a Sustainable Future”.

 

She stated that the administration of President Bola Tinubu is committed to creating an environment where every child has access to education, health, and a life free from fear and harm.

He gave the charge when he officially declared open the second edition of the Africa Military Games (AMGA) in Abuja, heralding the event as a historic platform to foster unity, camaraderie and military cooperation across the continent.
