Minister of the federal capital territory Nyesom Wike has urged his successor Siminalayi Fubara to follow the rule of law to restore peace in the state amid a growing crisis.
Tensions between the two leaders escalated recently, following the recent local government elections. A court had ordered security agencies not to provide support for the election and barred the release of voter registers. Despite this, the government proceeded with the election.
