In a proactive effort to strengthen its workforce, the Ogun State Ministry of Health has organized an Information Communication Technology (ICT) training program for its employees.
During the training session held in the Ministry’s Conference Room in Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta, Permanent Secretary Dr. Kayode Oladehinde, represented by the Director of ICT, Mrs. Tunrayo Odumuyiwa, emphasized the significance of ICT skills in improving work efficiency. “As we navigate the complexities of this new technological era, it is crucial that our staff are equipped with the necessary skills. This training goes beyond learning software; it’s about transforming service delivery to be more efficient and accessible for our community,” he stated.
Dr. Oladehinde also announced that the training will be conducted quarterly, aiming to equip health staff with essential digital competencies in line with the state government’s commitment to enhancing civil service performance through technological integration.
Mr. Temitayo Osanyinbi, a guest lecturer from the Bureau of Information Technology at Ogun TechHub, delivered a session on Data Analysis and its Applications. He urged participants to embrace computer operations and advised on the benefits of mail merging to streamline their workflows, particularly for memos and emails.
Participant Mrs. Temidayo Kuye expressed her enthusiasm for the training, stating it would positively impact their daily operations and enhance productivity. She thanked the Ministry for the opportunity and committed to applying the skills learned in their work.
