TY Danjuma challenges military to tackle insecurity

Former Chief of Army Staff, General THEOPHILUS DANJUMA, has urged serving personnel to put an end to the killings across the country as soon as possible. He emphasized that the military has no excuses for not restoring peace in the many troubled areas of the nation.

DANJUMA made these remarks at the launch of a book titled Big Boots: Lessons from My Military Service by Major General SOLOMON UDOUNWA (retd) in Abuja.

The former Chief of Army Staff, lamenting that insecurity remains the country’s greatest challenge, stressed that it must be addressed.

In response, the Chief of Defence Staff, General Christopher Musa, stated that the military is well-positioned and working tirelessly to restore peace nationwide.

Musa further assured that the armed forces would continue to uphold the values of service, integrity, and honour, which are key to military tradition.
