The Socio-Economic Rights and Accountability Project (SERAP) have sued President BOLA TINUBU over his failure to reverse the increase in the pump price of petrol.
SERAP Deputy Director, KOLAWOLE OLUWADARE, said the lawsuit was also filed against the President’s failure to probe the allegations of corruption and mismanagement in the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL)
The group said the increase in petrol price is causing immense hardship to ordinary Nigerians and pushing them further into poverty.
Joined in the suit as respondents, are the Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, LATEEF FAGBEMI and the NNPCL. No date has been fixed for the hearing of the suit.
