The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited NNPCL has revealed that it bought Premium Motor Spirit, popularly known as petrol, from Dangote refinery at 898 naira per litre.
Speaking with newsmen, the NNPCL spokesman, OLUFEMI SONEYE, denied claims that the national oil company purchased petrol at 760 naira per litre, noting that the price from the refinery was 898 naira per litre.
The lifting of petrol from the 650,000 barrels-per-day refinery commenced yesterday, as over 300 trucks from the NNPCL arrived at the refinery, located in the Ibeju-Lekki area of Lagos State, to lift the first batch of petrol.
