Midfielder AZEEZ FALOLU came up with a stoppage time winner for Katsina United on Sunday, earning the Chanji Boys a 2-1 win over Bendel Insurance during their Nigeria Premier Football League NPFL clash at the Muhammadu Dikko Stadium in Katsina.
In the other NPFL match-day two games, EDDIDIONG EZEKIEL’s last-minute penalty also rescued a point for hosts Akwa United against Abia Warriors in Uyo.
In Yenagoa, RABIU ABDULLAHI also rescued a point for LADAN BOSSO’s Bayelsa United in their 1-1 draw against Kano Pillars at the Samson Siasia Stadium. Auwalu Mallam had opened scoring for Pillars in the 14th minute of the game.
In Minna, Niger Tornadoes returned to the Bako Kontagora Stadium but they couldn’t build on their away win at Kwara United last week as they were held to a goalless draw by Nasarawa United.
Meanwhile, EMMANUEL AMUNEKE will have to wait longer for his first point in the NPFL after Heartland FC suffered a 1-3 defeat to Rivers United in Port Harcourt.
