The Senate has announced a new date for resuming its plenary sessions after a short break. The upper chamber will now reconvene on September 24, 2024, at 11:00 am, shifting from the previously set date of September 17.
This update was communicated through an internal memorandum from Clerk of the Senate, Chinedu Akubueze, on the instructions of Senate Leadership.
The memo, titled “Change in Resumption Date from Summer Break,” informs Senators that the delay is intended to provide additional time for them to return refreshed and prepared to address the country’s key issues.
