The Board of Nigeria’s second-tier league, the NNL, has announced that its Annual General Meeting (AGM) will take place later this month. This decision was made during a virtual board meeting held on Wednesday, September 4, 2024.
According to the communiqué released after the meeting, the board will soon announce the specific date and venue for the AGM. The board expressed appreciation to the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) and its leadership under Alhaji Ibrahim Musa Gusau for creating a favorable environment for the league's development.
The NNL board also voiced strong support for the NFF's efforts to ensure that the Super Eagles qualify for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations and the 2026 World Cup.
Additionally, the board confirmed that the 2024/2025 league season will feature an equal number of teams in each conference.
