The Nigeria Football Federation's Executive Committee has officially endorsed the Technical and Development Sub-Committee's recommendation to appoint Mr. Aliyu Zubairu as the new Head Coach of the National U20 team, the Flying Eagles. Zubairu, who recently guided El-Kanemi Warriors to victory in the President Federation Cup against Abia Warriors FC, will assume his new role immediately.

Zubairu’s initial responsibility will be to assemble and prepare the team for the WAFU B U20 Championship, set to take place in Togo during October/November. This tournament will determine the zone's representative for the Africa U20 Cup of Nations next year.
