Kaduna State Government has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Huawei Technologies office in Beijing, China for the actualization of the Smart City Project in the state.

A statement by Governor UBA SANI, revealed that the Smart City project is geared towards enhancing security, efficiency and transparency in public service, competitiveness, city management, and attracting talents and investments.

The governor signed the agreement on behalf of the Kaduna State Government while the Chief Executive Officer of Huawei Technologies, CHRIS LU, signed on behalf of the company at the ceremony which was witnessed by President BOLA TINUBU, ministers and other senior government officials.

He noted that the Kaduna State Government and Huawei will establish a joint committee to flesh out details of the Implementation Plan, Funding Arrangement, and the Technology to be deployed.
