Thousands of people are demonstrating across Israel after the bodies of six hostages held by Hamas in the Gaza Strip were recovered by soldiers.
The demonstrations come as a major Israeli labour union called for a nationwide general strike, urging the government to agree a deal to rescue the remaining hostages taken by Hamas during the 7 October attacks.
The labour union, which represents around 800,000 members, said the one-day walkout would begin today, adding that Tel Aviv's Ben Gurion Airport will be closed from 8am local time.
