The Lagos State Environmental Protection Agency (LASEPA) has intensified its enforcement actions against establishments violating the State Environmental Laws of 2017.
In an operation carried out today, several businesses and religious institutions in the Ojo area of the state were sealed off for failing to adhere to environmental regulations.
The affected establishments included churches, hotels, bars, an event centre, and a recycling company.
General Manager of LASEPA, BABATUNDE AJAYI, emphasized the agency’s commitment to upholding environmental standards across the state.
AJAYI noted that the agency will not hesitate to take necessary actions against any establishment that fails to comply with the State’s environmental regulations.
He however urged all businesses to take responsibility for their environmental impact and work with the State government to create a better future for Lagos state.
