The Speaker of the House of Representatives, TAJUDEEN ABBAS has expressed deep concern over the recent flooding in Sabon Gari Local Government Area of Kaduna State, describing the incident as tragic.

The flood, which occurred in the Kogin Mata and Tudun Muntsira, Chikaji areas of Sabon Gari, was triggered by heavy rainfall, causing significant property damage and displacing numerous residents.

ABBAS sympathized with the flood victims while expressing distress that such a devastating event struck at a time when people are striving to sustain their livelihoods. 

He however called for urgent intervention to provide relief to those affected, while urging residents to remain calm as the government is working to alleviate their suffering.

He also advised residents of the affected areas to take precautionary measures and follow guidance from relevant authorities regarding flood risks.

Additionally, he called for coordinated efforts to tackle the broader issue of flooding across the country.
